Seeking the FutureWhat is out there is impossible to know for sure, however this man is on an endless quest to find it. Marc William Compton’s journey began back in the small lakeside town of South Haven, Michigan. During his formative years in South Haven he was instilled with a mission to make the world a better place than he found it. One day Marc realized that this noble goal would be best fulfilled through teaching. After years of seeing students fail to seize the great opportunities that life affords them, Marc thought that he could stem the tide of disappointing student failure with poised guidance.
After high school Marc attended Michigan State University where he would earn a Bachelor of Arts in History. He planned to use history as a vessel to show America's youth their great opportunities afforded to them by freedom. Shortly after beginning a job teaching history in Rochester, Michigan, Marc realized that his education was incomplete. He had to seek better methods that would help students realize their talents. With great tenacity he searched for a program that melded both his technical interests with his love of history. One frigid February evening he stormed up an idea of a degree that melded both education and technology. Fortunately he needed not to look far, for his Alma Mater met this criterion. Join along with Marc while he seeks new innovative approaches to teaching that use technology as a powerful tool to enrich the education experience!
